How does Algy keep himself so clean and fluffy when it’s muddy and windy? Does he take baths?

That’s a slightly personal question for a fluffy bird :)) But fortunately the answer is not so personal: the West Highlands of Scotland is an area of the world with exceptionally high rainfall, so every creature living here receives very frequent showers! In fact many of the showers last for days… Fortunately it is also very windy, so it doesn’t take long for a bird to blow dry… just in time to get wet again…

Algy quotes from a learned source: The wettest gauged spots in western Scotland probably now receive around 5000 mm/197” of rainfall per year, and the very wettest locations around 6000 mm/236”.
