Algy had been away from Tumblr for a week and very nearly missed this Selfie Sunday, which would have made him feel decidedly glum.

If that had happened, it would probably have been the first PWS Selfie Sunday that Algy ever missed. A sad day indeed…

But fortunately he remembered just in time (he hopes!), and so he wishes all his wonderful friends @photosworthseeing a very Happy Selfie Sunday, and sends you all lots of very fluffy hugs xoxo

We are happy that you were able to make it. And we send the fluffiest hugs back to our favourite bird (not only on Tumblr) and his wonderful assistant Jenny.

Algy loves the PWS Selfie Sunday events, and he sends his fluffiest thanks to his kind friends at @photosworthseeing for allowing a fluffy bird to join in with all the “real” photographers 🙂

The big storm had passed, and although there was still a brisk west wind, the persistent rain had moved away, leaving only squally showers in its wake. Algy found himself a comfortable perch on a mossy rock and fluffed up his feathers. It was distinctly chilly, but the colours of the woodland floor in autumn made him feel warm again 🙂

SPECIAL NOTE TO THOSE KIND FRIENDS WAITING FOR ALGY’S BOOK

Algy apologises most sincerely for the slight delay in the production of his first book A Surprisingly Fluffy Bird, which he had hoped to publish just about now. Owing to his assistant not working nights as well as days, it will take a wee bit longer than anticipated, but it should be ready for you in about 6 weeks from now, around the end of May. Algy will post another update in a couple of weeks’ time, hopefully with a cover shot 🙂

Algy had been larking about in the sand, supposedly posing for the illustrations for his forthcoming book – although to the uninformed observer it looked very much as though he was just having fun playing on the beach…

So when he found that he needed to ask his assistant to help him remove the sticky sand from his feathers, Algy tried to
adopt his best penitent expression, but unfortunately he couldn’t help
giggling at the same time, which rather undermined the effect…

Have
a lovely Sunday, everyone, and if you get yourself into a mess and need help getting out of it, remember not to giggle when you try to look contrite and appealing 🙂
