Algy’s furry and fluffy friends all gathered round to watch the candles on Algy’s special chocolate brownie birthday cake, waiting for them to burn down so they could start eating the cake 🙂

Despite a rather chilly start to the New Year – and notwithstanding the fact that Algy was feeling a wee bit the worse for wear after his New Year’s Eve Book Launch celebrations in the middle of the night – he nevertheless got up bright and early to distribute copies of his new book to an eager array of creatures who had been queueing in the snow, waiting for the new book to arrive. Many of them were cousins of creatures featured in the story…

In Britain, December 26th is the traditional holiday of Boxing Day, when folk get together after the excitement of Christmas Day to rest and enjoy themselves playing games, going to the pantomime, and so on. So Algy joined his indoor friends for some fun and games under the Christmas tree, but he found the game of spillikins a wee bit more challenging for a fluffy bird than he had expected…
