Dozing in the Sunshine…

Algy adopted a more comfortable position on his odd perch, and leaned back happily against the convenient, curving support which the strange object had thoughtfully provided for the convenience of fluffy birds. It seemed to fit him perfectly, and Algy decided to doze peacefully there for a while, as it was always prudent to take advantage of the sunshine while it lasted…

Algy felt tired after singing so energetically with the skylarks. He decided to have a rest in one of his favourite spots nearby, which provided plenty of seats made of dry heather and grasses. He spent some time watching for the little fishes that dart out from behind the stones, but it was so peaceful sitting by the burn in the sun that he soon fell into a doze.
