Welcome to Artwork by Jenny Chapman!

Algy would like to welcome you to a new Tumblr blog, which will show artwork in various media by Algy’s assistant Jenny Chapman.

Several of Algy’s Tumblr friends have asked about his assistant’s other work, so Algy persuaded his assistant to create a new sideblog. The purpose of jennychapmanartwork is to show Jenny’s original artwork, as she makes it now and in the future, and including some work that she made in the past. It will include photography, drawings and paintings, short films and animation… and maybe more :))

All of Algy’s own adventures will continue to be posted on adventuresofalgy of course!

As jennychapmanartwork is a secondary blog, it is not possible for either Algy or Jenny to “like”, comment or follow back from jennychapmanartwork, so those functions will remain with adventuresofalgy as usual, and Algy and Jenny will follow original content blogs from here.

Algy hopes that you will follow Jenny’s new blog, and will enjoy her work. All signal boosts for jennychapmanartwork will be much appreciated :)))

To start with a flourish, here is Jenny’s most “famous” work to date, the award-winning short film 3 Minutes Silence, made in late 2001. Peace is every step…

Long, long ago, and very far away, young Algy was perching on the rocks of a southern shore, dozing in the warm evening sunshine. As he gazed sleepily out to sea, he dreamed of a little girl on the other side of the world who loved fluffy animals and birds more than anything else except stories, and who would one day grow up to tell the tales of his adventures to the people of the future…

Many years passed… and then, one day, Algy received messages in his Tumblr mailbox from his friends nosealviewing, babalou71 and josepha-amarantine, all of which read: “THROWBACK THURSDAY: Find an old picture of yourself and post it up in this ask then pass this on to the next 10 blogs on your dash.”

Well, Algy couldn’t quite do exactly what was asked, as he had no assistant to take his picture in those long-ago days. But he hopes that maybe this will go some way towards satisfying the requirements of his friends – even though it’s no longer Thursday 🙂
