There was no doubt about it: it was autumn! But the sun was unusually warm and the air was unusually still… and so it felt unusually pleasant!
Algy perched on a small bush, and gazed at a brave heather plant which had rooted in a tiny crevice, and the fascinating sparkles in the rock, which glistened in the light as the water trickled down the rock face from the hillside above. The world was full of marvels and colour and warmth, and Algy wondered whether he had been magically transported away from the West Highlands to a kinder climate. But the landscape and plants looked familiar, so perhaps it was just a beautiful day for a change 🙂
