The sea was a moody milky turquoise colour, and the clouds were descending upon the peaks of the misty Hebrides in the far distance. Algy knew that it was about to rain again, but the smell of meadowsweet in front of his beak was sweet indeed, and the heather was just starting to bloom too, with its wonderful fragrance of honey. In the boggy area behind him, the bog myrtle was thriving with all the rain that had fallen this year, and so the air was filled with the wonderful subtle fragrances of the West Highland coast in “high summer”. Of course the view wasn’t bad, either 🙂
